Feeding the hungry
since 1981

The Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that distributes between 5 and 7 million pounds of food annually in eastern Nebraska and western Iowa.   We distribute food to over 360 charities and organizations serving people in need; during the past year, 300,000 people benefited from The Food Bank.

You Give ~ We Give ~ They Give ~ And We All Help.

The Food Bank is pleased to provide an opportunity to take care of your gift giving for your friends and family and help a neighbor in need at the same time. Gift 2 Give

With every Gift2Give gift card you purchase, 10%
of the value of the card will be given to The Food Bank that will be used to make sure our hungry neighbors have dinner on their tables.

Examples of gift cards include Pottery Barn and Lands End!

Playing with Fire - May 17th

Playing with FireIt's that time again - time for good music at Playing with Fire! The concert series kicks off on May 17th at the Lewis & Clark Landing on the Riverfront.

The concert will feature The Maple Hills Revue, Garrett Mason and 112 North Duck. Free will donations are accepted at the front gates and a portion of the donations goes to benefit The Food Bank!

The Food Bank is looking for volunteers to help at the show - email us if you're interested in volunteering!

Getting Involoved at The Food Bank

During the spring and summer months, The Food Bank typically sees a decrease in food donations. The increasing cost of crude oil has caused food and gas prices to rise - these factors determine how much money families can spend on food. At The Food Bank, we are working hard to provide food through the pantries, meal providers and our direct programs.
