MOBILE PANTRY

The Mobile Food Pantry is a program that enables pantries to extend their services acting as a supplemental food/household service for those in need. The MobileFood Pantry will consist of products that are in excess in the warehouse at the time of delivery. There is no guarantee of specific product being delivered.

Victory Fellowship Church, Phillips Cupboard, and Faith, Food & Fellowship pantries each received and distributed over 6,000 pounds of food, persnal care, and household product in their neighborhoods as the first participants of the Mobile Pantry in 2007.

To be a recipient of Mobile Pantry you must have:

  • nonprofit status
  • the means to get the word out to your neighborhood recipients
  • an area where The Food Bank truck can unload 6-10 pallets of product
  • 2-3 hour block of time to distribute product
  • volunteers (usually 10-15) available to make it all happen
  • an organized system for distribution.
